Hello ladybugnina this is Kieron here [Luke's dad and band manager]. Apologies to you and all other fans for not keeping you in the loop a bit more about what Luke and John are up to. Here's a quick update. Luke left Leamington Spa back in April and so far has visited France, Germany, Bulgaria, Transylvania [where he had an encounter with a bear in a wood at night, but I'll let him tell that story when he gets back] Turkey and now i think he is in Israel. The emails I've had from him seem to indicate that he is happy being on the road again having adventures and meeting extraordinary people. His last email says he will probably return to the uk at the end of September for a couple of days. He will then head for a friends place in Normandy to [his words] "finish some songs". I take this to mean he has been writing whilst traveling and probably has plans to get into the studio with this new material at some stage - but i cant say anymore about this as i have no solid details at all so wont try and pre-empt anything. John Boy has been busy too. He supported Speech Debelle a couple of weeks ago one of the bands he has been playing with and said "it was quite a surprise her winning the Mercury but she is a very nice young lady". Hopefully we will be able to bring you more news of what they've been up to in the next couple of months - I'm sure Luke has some amazing stories of his travels. Anyway enuff for now and hope this helps shed some light on their year off - and i might ask John if he could do a blog or too as well. love from all at FDM KCX
